John H. Taylor

On Sept. 30, 2005, John H. Taylor passed away at his home in Aguila, Ariz. He was 87. He was born on July 24, 1918 in Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna of 49 years in 1988.

He is survived by his son Charles and daughter-in-law Martha Taylor of Okanogan, Wash.; daughter Sue Martinez of Aguila, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law Johnnie and Bob Edwards of Aguila, Ariz.; daughter Anna Faye Ronnebaum of Wittmann, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-granchildren.

In 1957 he moved his family to Aguila and lived there until his passing. He was a World War II veteran. He made his living as a heavy equipment operator for the farm in Aguila. After his retirement from the farm in 1979, he became a crossing guard for the Aguila School District for three years.

John was a simple man; his life was centered around his family. He lived by the values of hard work, a man's word was as good as money, and a handshake was better than money. He was always loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Frey-Wickenburg Funeral Home. Graveside services will be tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 6) at 10 a.m. at the Eagle Eye Cemetery in Aguila.
