| Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 Mercedes (Mercy) Gabaldon, age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 9,2005. She was born to Lino and Emiliana Gonzalez, in Jerome, on Sept. 25, 1928. Mercy leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Paul Gabaldon; along with their three children, Paul Jr., Dolores and Chris; grandchildren include, Ramona, Pablito, Christopher, Richard, Adam and Jill; great-grandchildren include, Elizabeth, Lexi, Madison, Maggie, Tyra, Aria, Dante, and Brooke; sister, Mary Alba of Phoenix and a brother, Lino Gonzales of San Manuel. One sister, Emiliana Corona preceded her in death. A memorial service is open to family and friends. This celebration of Mercy's life will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Gabaldon was a cancer survivor in the late 90's and the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) in place of flowers. The Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
