Enrique P. [Kikes] Pastor

Enrique P. (Kikes) Pastor, 88, of Claypool died Sept. 21, 2003, at Cobre Valley Community Hospital. He was born in Miami and was a lifelong area resident.

He retired from Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company where he was a furnace skimmer and was a member of Mine-Mill and Smelter Workers (Steelworkers Local 586). An active member of the community, he was involved in culturally relevant activities such as the Globe-Miami Latinos Club, was a founding member of the Globe-Miami Retiree's Union Club, and a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margarita Pastor; one son, Congressman Ed Pastor and his wife, Verma, of Phoenix; one daughter, Eleanor Pastor of Claypool; three brothers, Mike, Frank and Tony; one sister, Alice Benitez; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 24) at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be in Pinal Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Services.
