Clare Tyler – Funeral services were held in Sun city Monday morning for Clare Tyler, a former Wickenburg retail business owner and more recently a resident of Sun City, who died of a heart attack in the latter city March 11. He was 64 years of age. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

A native of Chicago, Mr. Tyler was an advertising agency executive before coming to Wickenburg in 1951, buying and operating for the next five years the establishment at the corner of Center & Valentine Streets then known as The Center. The family residence here was on the Prescott Highway.

After leaving Wickenburg he moved to Chandler where he established a ceramic tile business. On the occasion of the late Charles L. (Squire) Maguire’s 80th birthday, he designed and made the large mosaic tile history of the Wickenburg area which adorns a wall of the lobby at Rancho de lost Caballeros.

Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife Ines; a daughter, Jane, at home; two sons, Joseph and Stephen, both out of state; two brothers, Paul and Haan, also out of state, and several grandchildren.
