Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 2, 2006 John and Bernice (Bunny) Wilkinson died June 27, 2006, as a result of a car accident near Quartzsite, Arizona. They were returning from Camp Pendelton, California, were John had participated in a softball tournament. John was born Oct. 10, 1946. in Warren, Ohio, the son of John L. and Vera B. (Dixon) Wilkinson. John was 59 years old. Bunny was born Sept. 22, 1947. in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Wilbur R. and Lorna M. (Hutton) Easterday. Bunny was 58 years old. The Wilkinsons were married Nov. 28, 1970. They met at Packard Electric, where they were employed. John served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from GM-Delphi as a foreman. John and Bunny moved to Prescott in 2001. Their family was most important. Together, they lived an active, involved, generous, and selfless life, both in Ohio and, in Prescott. John worked part time for Flower Box Flowers, was an umpire and field supervisor for Prescott's Parks and Recreation, board member and player with the Senior's Softball League, member of the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Committee, reader for the blind with Mountain Voices, and, with Bunny, an active, caring member of Prescott United Methodist Church. They both worked in the outreach ministry of the church, helping to feed the hungry. Bunny was a loving and supporting wife and mother and involved with John in most of his activities. On her own, Bunny exercised with a group of friends at Curves and had a special ability to help people meet their daily needs. John and Bunny are survived by their daughters, Cynthia D. Wilkinson (Kelly Singleton) of Tampa, Florida, and Beth (Bill) Dyke of Gahanna, Ohio; and granddaughter Elizabeth Anne Dyke. John is also survived by his mother, Vera B. Wilkinson, and sister Susan (Lawrence) Brill. John was preceded in death by his sister, Linda K. Knepper. Bunny is also survived by her mother Lorna M. Easterday; brother Ross (Bev) Easterday; and sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Soltas and Sandra (Dominic) Venetta. They both are survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends across the United States. A celebration of John and Bunny will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 E.
