Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona December 28, 1972, page 8 Gordon (Fred) Willis – Funeral services were held the afternoon of December 23 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Gordon (Fred) Willis, a resident of Wickenburg for a quarter of a century, who died suddenly December 18 while in Silverton, Colorado. Mr. Willis had been a truck driver for many years, handling the big ones routed through Wickenburg. He was born February 12, 1920 in Oregon and had lived in Arizona 26 years and in Wickenburg 25 years. He was a veteran of World War II. The Rev. Frank Randall of the First Baptist Church officiated at the services and burial took place in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Willis is survived by his wife, Phyllis and six children; three daughters, Mrs. Linda Meredith of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Lynn Fisher of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Frieda Ann, David, Steven and Gordon, Jr., at home.
