Steve Rebec, age 53, of Prescott Valley, passed away peacefully at his home on April 10, 2004. Steve was born on May 22, 1950, in Carroll, Iowa.

Dedicated to his country, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Constellation. For the last nine years, he worked as a Public Works Inspector for Yavapai County. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, camping, and outdoor sports. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a lifetime member and cowboy match director of the Yavapai Recreational League, and a member of the California Rifle and Pistol Association.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; his father, Tom (Alice) Rebec; his mother, Marta Rebec; his sister, Lorni (Bruce) Jarmie; his brothers, Robert (Kathy) Rebec and David (Kirn) Rebec; his stepdaughters, Kelley (Ben) Carlson and Jennifer Morris; and four nephews.

He was a sweet and loving husband, and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Memorial services are planned for 10 a.m., Saturday, April 17, at Bradshaw Mountain Christian Assembly, in Prescott Valley.

Sunrise Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
