Frank Valentine Crandall

Frank Valentine Crandall, 79, died Oct. 27, 2003 in Eagar.

Frank was born in Wisconsin. His family moved to Texas and then to Washington. He graduated from school there, and worked in a plywood plant after high school, and soon joined the Marines. He served in Guam during WWII. After four years in the military he moved to Grants Pass Oregon and married Virginia Miller in 1952. Frank continued his work as a plywood plant manager retiring in 1987.

His last five years of his working career were spent in Indonesia trying to help with economy and employment opportunities. Frank had life long hobbies that including hunting and fishing. He and Virginia moved to Eagar three years ago to be closer with his family.

Frank is survived by his wife, Virginia Crandell of Eagar; three daughters, Nancy (Floyd) Wright of Alpine, Virginia Lee (Dave) Schulmiester of Hawaii and Patricia (Steve) Waggoner of Alaska; seven grandchildren; one brother Eddie Beatty of Chehalis, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his sister Vi King.
