Geneva Hazel Cook

Geneva Hazel Cook, age 95, a resident of Wilhoit, Ariz., died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, on Friday, March 26th. She was born in the state of Wisconsin, on Aug. 3, 1908.

She moved with her family to Oregon as a child, but lived most of her adult life in Arizona. During WWII, she lived in San Diego, Calif., and served the war effort as a "Rosie the Riveter." In 1953, she returned to Arizona where she devoted her life to her family and friends. Some of her favorite things were music and gardening, but she especially loved spend-ing time with children and with her various pets. Mrs. Cook was a member of the L.D.S. Church, Prescott Stake, Kirkland Branch.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Alvin B. Cook, Sr.; her daughter, Willamina Bogart; and two sons, George Ellis and Eddy Marley.

She is survived by her sons, Burr Marley of Wilhoit, Ariz., and Alvin (Tuffy) Cook, Jr. of Bagdad; her daughters, Noma Cardiff of Wilhoit, Ariz. and JoAnn Clark of Prescott; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 1st, at 10:30 a.m., at the L.D.S. Church, on Ruth Street, in Prescott. Friends may call on the family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the Relief Society room.

Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, in Prescott.

In lieu of flowers, perform a kind deed, anonymously, in her memory.

The Arizona Rufiner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
