Eusebio (Sam) Ruiz

Eusebio "Sam" L. Ruiz, 82, died Aug. 13, 2003 at his residence in Globe. Born in Globe, he worked as a driller/blaster.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Trinidad Ruiz of Globe; one daughter, Angela Meeks of Claypool; two sisters, Angie Tewkbury of Globe and Rosemary Ruiz of Yorba Linda, Calif.; three brothers, Nick Ruiz of Chandler, and Dave Ruiz and Frank Ruiz of Globe; and two grandchildren.

A memorial mass was conducted Aug. 19 at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment of cremains was at Pinal Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
