Cecil E. Hoskin, 74, of Lakeside went home to glory Jan. 23, 2004.
Cecil served his country as a Merchant Marine, and later as a Corporal in the Military Police during the Korean War. His early years in Arizona were spent as a deputy sheriff in Wellton. He is best remembered, in the White Mountains, for his mason work on fireplaces. He loved working in his garden and picking up pottery that he fashioned into Native American art. He will be greatly missed by his "coffee buddies," his many other friends and family.
Cecil was preceded in death by his mother, Luella; father, Cecil; and brother, Jay.
Cecil is survived by his daughter, Lynn E. Hoskin of Show Low; son, Lyle G. Hoskin, Sr. of Lakeside; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Cecil's life will be held in the Spring, his favorite time of year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to your local hospice or organization.
