Walter McNeil (Buster) Gilley, age 73, was born April 4, 1931, and passed away on April 5, 2064, in Phoenix.

Buster was a United States Air Force veteran who served in Korea. He was a former Director of Operations for the Board of Education in Lexington, Ky.

He is survived by his wife, Margie, his mother, Juanita, his four daughters and their husbands, Sandra S; and Greg Leach, Nita F. and Conrad Freiholtz, Marcella D. and Paul Frisby, and Judith C. and Wesley Boyd; his sister, Phyllis Ann Pugh; and four grandchildren, Ryan Douglas, Joshua and Aaron Frisby and Cassandra Leach (and one on the way).

He was a loyal member and usher of the Phoenix First Assembly of God. He was a loving, husband, father and grandfather who willi he missed by all whom he touched.

Visitation was held on Thursday evening, April 8, from 5-7 p.m., at the Phoenix Memorial Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, in Phoenix. Funeral services will be held today, April 9, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary.

Phoenix Memorial Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
