Anna Jane (Roller) Seawright

Anna Jane Seawright, age 82, passed away June 1. Memorial services will be held on Friday (June 13) at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.

Anna Jane was born Nov. 29, 1925 in Beaumont, Texas, to Dennis O. Roller and Naomi Rowzee Roller. She was raised there until age 10 when the family moved to Arizona. She attended and graduated from Wickenburg High School.

Following her schooling she began working for Central Arizona Light and Power Company which later became Arizona Public Service. She worked there for more than 30 years.

Anna Jane was active in the Professional Business Women’s Organization and volunteered at the Red Cross as well as volunteering at the Desert Caballeros Museum. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church from its onset and served as a deacon and an elder in the church as well as singing in the choir and serving in various other church positions.

Anna Jane was a pilot and a member of the World War II Glider Pilots Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband Col. Jack Seawright on August 14, 2005, and will be interred with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. She is survived by stepdaughters Jean Friedl (John) of Tucson, Ariz.; Nancy Price (Ron) of Derwood, Md.; Barbara Reimer (Russ) of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers and sisters-in-law John Richard and Marie Roller of Wickenburg, William and Sue Roller of Phoenix, Robert and Susan Roller of Chandler; and several nieces and nephews.

Family suggests memorial contributions in Anna Jane’s name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory.
