Donald, Sr. Skelly

Donald "Don" R. Skelly Sr., 68, of Globe died July 15 [2003] at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. He was born in Globe and moved back to Globe in 1969 after working 15 years in engineering for the Arizona State Highway Department in Sanders and Holbrook.

He also worked for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company, served as Gila County Chief Deputy Treasurer, and retired from the Gila County Health and Animal Control/Rabies Department.

He was a Korean War Navy veteran, a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and a past member of Pinal Mountain Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Nadibah "Nina" T. Skelly; one son, Donald R. Skelly Jr., and daughter-in-law, Christina; three grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral service was conducted July 18 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Globe. I

nterment was July 19 at Burnt Corn Valley Cemetery in Pinon.

Arrangements were under the direction of Miles Funeral Services.
