The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, March 31, 2010 Raymond Rustad, 94, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away March 28, 2010, at the Samaritan Center in Prescott Valley. He was born April 11, 1915, in Kenyon, Minn., to Christ and Gina (Johnson) Rustad. Raymond served our country during WWII in the United States Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster for his actions during the war. Raymond graduated from Northwestern Bible College and began his pastoral career. He was passionate about preaching God's word and leading people to Christ. After retirement, Ray spent time fishing and just enjoyed the company of family and friends. He is survived by his children, Gail Gilmore, Russel (Roxanne) Rustad, and Cliff (Michelle) Rustad, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Emma Rustad. Services will at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the Salvation Army, 237 S. Montezuma St., Prescott, AZ 86303. A gathering of family and friends will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army. Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
