| Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low, AZ October 5, 1925 - March 30, 2010 In Loving memory of our father, grandfather and uncle, William Childs, born October 5, 1925 in Upper Carrizo, AZ. William went home to be with out Lord on March 30, 2010 in Payson, AZ. He was 84. William held various jobs throughout his life. He was a forestry firefighter on horseback and also cleared landing areas for “helispots.” He was a manager for the old Westend Café in Cibecue and a gas attendant at the old Carrizo gas station. He is survived by his wife, Helen C. Childs; 4 sons, Delbert Childs, Sr., Gilbert “Jack” Childs, Daniel Childs, Kenneth “Scotty” Cody, Sr.; 2 daughters, Helena C. Bonito, Janice Lupe; 3 daughters-in-law; 1 son-in-law; 4 nieces, Phoebe Cromwell, Leona Endfield, Georgianna Russell, Gina Childs; 4 nephews, Theodore Childs, Sr., Chris Childs, Gillespie Childs, Jr., Giles Childs as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren relatives and friends. A two night wake will begin 10:00AM Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the residence of Helena Bonito in Carrizo, 135 Corduroy Court #6. Home services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, April 10, 2010. Interment will follow in the Childs’ family plot in Upper Carrizo Canyon. |
