Dee Edward Whisenhunt, 69, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born Nov. 14, 1935, in Chama, N.M., died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, in Prescott.

Visitation will be from noon to 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 14, at Chino Valley Funeral Home, followed by Graveside funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Chino Valley Cemetery, Chino Valley, Ariz.

Dee Edward Whisenhunt passed away March 8, 2005, at the VA Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz. Dee was born Nov. 14,1935, in Chama, Rio County, N.M., to Margaret Ellen Roberts and David Caldwell Whisenhunt.

Dee grauated from Scottsdale High School, then served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from the Arizona State University with distinction. He was the Vice President of the Mesa Jaycees and was Jaycee of the Year in 1965.

Dee worked for Western Electric in Phoenix as Senior Information ystems Engineer, then Dynasty Cultured Marble in Kingman as Sales Manager, until his medical retirement. He was in the Scottsdale Saddle Club from 1974 to 1978 and was Youth Director for the Scottsdale Saddle Club Mustangs. He moved to Chino Valley in 1980, where he raised pure-bred Angus cattle and purebred Nubian show goats. His Rancho Horizon herd was world famous.

Dee is survived by two sons Bret of Prescott and Steven of Seattle; two grandsons, Brennen and Cole of Chino Valley; two brothers, Stan of Ventura, Calif., and Richard (Whiz) of Cottonwood.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, from noon to 12:30 p.m., at the Chino Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., at the Chino Valley Cemetery.
