Mary Ruth (Kush) Baker Hardison

Mary Ruth Hardison, age 88, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Mary was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Herman and Nora Mae (Dyer) Kush.

Mary met arid married the love of her life, Everett Baker in 1935. They had four children. Mary moved to Prescott from California in 2002. She was a member of the Baptist church. Mary enjoyed playing cards, cooking for the family and sewing. She had a passion for reading and flowers, especially roses. Mary also enjoyed traveling and being a part of family gatherings. She was proud of her family.

Mary is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Alice Shadrick of Prescott, Evelyn and Chuck Rumfola of Prescott; and her son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Jan Baker of Coarsegold, Calif.

Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Dennis, Diane, Chuck, Sheri, Glenn, Michael, and Sean; and great-grandchildren, Derek, Dayna, Jacob, Cory, Drew, Aaron, Ryan. Kevin, Karlee, and Ashley.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Everett Baker; second husband, Blake Hardison; a daughter, Norma Marie Baker; a brother, Harold Kush, and her twin sister.

A private cremation was held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Family services will be held later this week at Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Whittier. Calif.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
