Sister Carol Therese Johnson

Johnson, Sister Carol Therese, CSJ, died Feb. 25, 2005, at Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital, in Tucson. She was born Feb. 21, 1931, to Clarence F. and Teresa M. (Zilles) Jonnson, in Williams, and is survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Sister was educated at St. Joseph's Academy, in Prescott, graduating in 1949. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, graduating from Mount St. Mary's College, Los Angeles, later earned a MA from the University of San Francisco, and another from the University of Hawaii.

Sister was an educator in California, including elementary teaching and administration. She spent six years in community administration in Hawaii. In recent years, she earned a CPE certification and ministered in the Emergency Department as chaplain at Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church at 7 p.m., March 1, preceded by a viewing from 6 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at 10 a.m., March 2, at Holy Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, Carondelet Center, 11999 Chalon Road, Los Angeles, Calif., 90049 or Sisters of Joseph, 6571 East Carondelet Drive, Tucson, Ariz., 85710.
