The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 2, 2005 Eunice Jessie Fitch, age 90, beloved Mother and Grandmother of Prescott, went home to be with the Lord on on Jan. 27, 2005, after a short illness. Born in Lindsay, Okla., on Aug. 28, 1914, she moved to Southern California with her family and spent most of her life there. She moved to Prescott in 1996. Eunice's main focus was her large and growing family. She was always interested in what they were doing, always loving, kind, and generous to all. Eunice had a great love for quilts, quilting and quilt books and TV quilting programs. She made lap robes for Prescott Samaritan Village and blessed her family with quilted wall hangings. She was a member of the Thumb Butte Quilter's Guild for several years before her health forced her to limit her activities. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald A. Fitch, in 1989. Eunice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Victor DeSutter of Prescott; son and daughter-in-law, Morrell (Mo) and Sherry Fitch of Upper Lake, Calif., nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Jeanne Berwer and husband, Wayne, and Bernice West; a brother, Elmer Wells and sister-in-law. Billie Wells, all of California. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach. Calif., on Saturday Feb. 5, at 2:30 p.m. The Hampton Funeral Home of Prescott, Ariz. was entrusted with arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
