Clarence Long Rites Thursday

Funeral services for Clarence (Shorty) Long were scheduled to be held at 5:15 p. m. Thursday of this week in the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Marvin Elliott officiating.

Burial was to be in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Wickenburg Chapel was scheduled to be open from 11 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. Thursday for friends who wished to call.

Mr. Long died at 8:30 a. m last Sunday at his home on the Rincon Road following a heart attack.

A retired painter, he was born January 2, 1898, in West Virginia. He served in the Army from Hawaii and upon discharge from the Army in 1928 came to Wickenburg.He and Charlotte Baker were married in
Phoenix in 1928.

Surviving in addition to the widow, are six children: Laree Dotson, Clarkdale; J. R. Long, Flagstaff; Wilma Taylor, Scottsdale, Sarah Coleman, Norwalk, Calif.; Helen Long, Wickenburg; and Bill Long who is in the Air Force in South Carolina. Also surviving two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Mattingley of Mansfield, O., and Mrs. Berniece R. Jaques of Ashland, O.; two brothers, Jerry Long of West Lafayette, O., and Melvin Long of Mechanicstown, O., and five half-brothers, Alfred Rice a Harry Long of Coshocton,O.
