Robert Matthew Ontiveros

Robert Matthew Ontiveros died Sunday evening, June 22, 2008, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz. He was born Jan. 24, 1975, in West Anaheim, Calif., the son of Robert and Kathryn Marie (Renner) Ontiveros. Robert was 33 years old.

Robert worked in the construction field as a carpenter and framer and later he developed his skills as a master woodworking finisher at Foxworth Galbraith, where he customized and installed many fireplace mantels.

Robert is survived by his father Robert Ontiveros, Stanton, Calif., his mother Kathryn Renner of Prescott, Ariz.; sisters, Vanessa Ontiveros, Costa Mesa, Calif. and Jeanette Ontiveros, Oahu, Hawaii; one nephew, Tyler Gongloff, Oahu, Hawaii; and an additional member of his family, his beloved dog Shadow.

Robert enjoyed being a spectator and a real fan of the Denver Broncos, journeying to Denver last December to be part of the real scene with the fans and the cold December winter. Robert was a big fan of the D-backs and reggae musician Bob Marley.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Cortez Street at Carleton in Prescott.

In lieu of material remembrances, the family suggests donations to the Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Ranch Rd., Prescott, AZ 86301.

The Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
