| Published in The West Valley View 6 Apr 2010 Barbara Jean Doughty, 69, of Goodyear died April 3, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Doughty was born Jan. 21, 1941, in La Junta, Colo., to Benjamin and Nona Beard. She grew up in Bell, Calif. She married Charles Doughty in 1961. She worked as a bank manager for the Bank of Hawaii on Midway Island and worked for Bank of America. She was also a homemaker. She is survived by husband, Charles "Ed;" one daughter, Danette Lemmons of Apache Junction; one sister, Bertie Savage of Corvallis, Ore.; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 E. Baseline Road in Buckeye. The Rev. Clay McGuire will officiate. Interment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. |
