Wanda Rose (Rosie) (Howard) Shipley

Wanda (Rosie) Shipley passed away on June 18, 2008, at Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Ariz. She was 82. Wanda was born in Paris, Arkansas, May 1, 1926, to Sid and Margaret Howard.

She married husband William Shipley on June 3, 1987, and they shared 21 years of marriage. Wanda moved to Yavapai County in 1999. She enjoyed reading, writing and traveling with her husband, visiting one of her most favorite places, the National Park in Utah. Wanda loved animals. She loved to relax watching birds nesting in the trees. Wanda was proudest of her family and friends. She will be missed.

Wanda is survived by husband William Shipley of Chino Valley; sons, Michael Shipley of Jacksonville, Fla., Richard Shipley of Jacksonville, Fla.; and daughter Linda Rickleson of Jacksonville, Fla.

Memorial contributions in Wanda’s name may be offered to St. Jude’s, 8300 East Pacesetter Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85255.
