Hold Final Rites For Fred Coon, Sr.

Funeral services were held in Wickenburg Tuesday morning for Frederick Ingram Coon, veteran employe of the Santa Fe Railway and a resident in this vicinity Since 1924, who passed away Thursday, July 26 at the Santa Fe Hospital in Los Angeles. A heart attack was the cause of his death following an illness of only a few days.

For the past four years Mr. Coon, well known throughout this part of the state had been section foreman for the Santa Fe at Bouse. He was born in 1877 in Green Island. New York. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World.

Rev. B. Ross Cleeland of the Presbyterian Church conducted the funeral services at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Wickenburg Chapel and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Surviving are the widow Mrs. Lillie Coon; four daughters: Mrs. F. D. Rawls and Mrs. Dollie Gates of Wickenburg and Mrs. Edna Renick and Mrs. Victoria Erwin of Salt Lake City, Utah and a son. Fred, Jr.of Wickenburg. Four grandchildren also survive.

All members of the family were present for the funeral except Mrs. Erwin who was unable to come because of illness.
