Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona August 16, 1973, page 10 Mr. Wm. K. Caley died July 23rd in Costa Mesa, California. Burial was in Harbor Rest Memorial Park. Mr. Caley was in Wickenburg many times to visit with his daughter, Ivy Zinn; he spent two months here at first of the years recuperating from illness. He came to the United States in 1907 from Douglas, Isle of Man where he was born July 2, 1888. He settled in Bisbee where he served as mayor at one time and was also a member of The House of Representatives, representing Cochise County. He moved to Costa Mesa in 1943 and became Superintendent of the Newport – Mesa Water District and was with the company until his retirement. He was a member of Masonic Seafaring Lodge No. 708, Knights of Pythias, Moose, North American and Southern California MANX Societies. Survived by: 2 sons, Fred of Albuquerque, Ivan of Santa Ana, Calif.; 2 daughters, Winifred Barker of Douglas, Arizona and Ivy Zinn of Wickenburg; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. |
