Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ October 13, 1961 Rites Held For J. W. Muse, Sr. Funeral services were held in the Wickenburg Chapel Tuesday morning for James W. Muse, Sr., who died in his home in Bouse Friday of last week. He was a brother of Brick Muse of Wickenburg. Dr. Charles S. Poling officiated at the service and burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Muse was born in the Oak Creek area March 27, 1894. His parents had come to Camp Verde from Missouri in 1875. He was a dairyman in Tolleson for several years and later lived in Peeples Valley and the Verde Valley until eight years ago when he started ranching at Bouse. Survivors are the widow, Alice M. of Bouse; one son. J. W. (Bud), Jr. of Parker; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Brown, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Eunice Perry, both of San Francisco; four brothers, Brick of Wickenburg, Ray, Homer and Genfi; of Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Cantrell of Phoenix and Mrs. Helen Crossen of Vancouver, Wash.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
