Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 29, 1963 Rites Saturday For Tom Parks Members of the Phoenix Elks Lodge, to which he had belonged for 25 years, conducted impressive funeral services last Saturday morning in the Wickenburg Chapel for Tom Parks of near Morristown. He passed away suddenly, of a heart attack, at 9:30 a.m. March 21 in Cottonwood, Arizona. He had gone there the night before with Mrs. Parks who was hospitalized in the Marcus Lawrence Memorial Hospital sometime ago and was returning for a check-up. He passed away while waiting for her in a nearby motel. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. & Mrs. Parks had resided on their ranch a few miles west of Morristown since 1946 when they purchased that property. They had previously lived in Phoenix in the late 30's. At the time of his death he was an official photographer for the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and a free lance photographer with a national reputation in that profession. Many of his award winning photographs are on display in the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff. Mr. Parks was born April 23, 1912 in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he received his schooling. Several years ago he served a term on the Morristown School Board and he was an active member of the Kiwanis Club during the several years of its existence here. Survivors are the widow, Eve; his mother, Mrs. Mary Parks of Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. George Hinnant Jr., of White Marsh, Md., and Mrs. Mary Collins of Hampton, Va., and a brother, E. R.
