William (Billy) Cupp

William (Billy) Cupp, 57, of Chino Valley, Ariz., died Friday

July 4, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz.

He was born Oct. 13, 1950, to William and Lelia Cupp in Anniston, Ala.

Billy moved to Compton, Calif., at the age of 10 and to Prescott in 1972, and to Chino Valley in 2003.

Billy joined the Army when he was 18 years old and served in Vietnam, where he was a supply driver traveling though-out the country. He later used those skills as an over-the-road driver for the majority of his life’s occupation.

He was preceded in death by his father William Cupp Jr. and brother Jerry Cupp.

He is survived by his wife Sheila Cupp of Chino Valley; mother Lelia B. Cupp of Oxford, Ala.; brothers James Cupp of Oxford, Ala., and Norris “Rick” Cupp of Phoenix; son William Craig Cupp-Woodruff of Riverside, Calif.; daughter Christine Cupp of Phoenix; grandsons Zachary Woodruff of Riverside, Calif., and Michael Jon Kerstiens III of Wickenburg, Ariz.

A private family service will take place at a later date.

Services entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.
