Troy O. Brinkerhoff, M.D., 59, passed away unexpectedly on October 1,
2006.

Dr. BRINKERHOFF was a graduate of Arizona State University and earned his M.D. degree from the University of Arizona. He served his residency at the Maricopa County Medical Center where he was named resident of the year his final year. He then went on to become a much loved and respected physician and surgeon serving patients in the Mesa area for over 26 years. He served on numerous professional committees and boards, often in leadership positions. He was affectionately called "Brink" by his co-workers. He set the standard of breast care in the East Valley establishing East Valley Breast Care with his loyal staff. He served a mission for the LDS Church as a young man returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Darlene.

He loved his family, his work, his devoted staff, his Harleys, dirt bike riding with his sons, watching his children perform in sporting events and musical performances and rejoiced in their success. His greatest new love was being a Grandpa. He enjoyed cross country motorcycling, exploring the back roads of Arizona, all kinds of music, and reading.

He was a life long learner, often saying, "Everyday is a school day!"

He was proud to be a third generation Arizonan and studied Arizona history extensively. He will be sorely missed both for his medical expertise and wisdom, wit, humor, big bear hugs, smile and infectious laughter.

Services were held at the LDS chapel at 848 North Westwood, Mesa. Internment will be in the City of Mesa Cemetery.
