Sondra Lee Eisberg, 63, of Prescott, Ariz., born May 25, 1941, in Omaha, Neb., died Friday, March 11, 2005, in Prescott.

The family will hold a Gathering of Family and Friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to Shriner's Burn Institute, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, Calif., 95817.

Sondra Lee Eisberg, age 63, of Prescott, Ariz., died March 11, 2005, in Prescott. Sondra was born May 25, 1941, in Omaha, Neb., to Bernard and Myra (Schmidt) McNichols.

Throughout the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s, Sondra was active in community affairs in Prescott. She volunteered at the schools, the library and the hospital. One of her efforts, in conjunction with Prescott Public Librarian Alan Rothlisberg, was the founding of the first 'Talking Book Library for the Blind and Handicapped' west of the Mississippi.

She was active in the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, serving as President in 1981. Sondra was involved in the publication of the 'Pictorial History of Prescott' by Melissa Ruffner to fund the historic restoration of the Chamber Building on Goodwin Street.

Sondra achieved a lifelong dream when she graduated from college in 1985 from ERAU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Administration. She was active in airport management for the next 12 years, serving clients throughout the western United States.

Sondra is survived by her precious daughter, Ann Eisberg McClain, son-in-love, Mark, and adored grandson, Carter James; her mother, Myra (Mickey) McNichols of Mesa; brother, Gary, and his beloved wife, Nikki McNichols of Walnut Creek, Calif.; sister, Debi McNichols and her son (our gift), C.J. McNichols of Mesa.

Sondra was blessed by her family and many good friends of long standing. If by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs a name should be sent to Shrine's Burn Institute, 2425 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, Calif., 95817.
