Norma (Matz) Osborn

Norma Matz Osborn, born in Phoenix, Ariz., on July 5, 1929, passed away at her home in Prescott, Ariz. on March 10, 2005, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Osborn; her sister, Dorothy J. Young of Williamston, Mich.; her niece, Felicia Matz of Venice Beach, Calif.; stepsons, John Osborn of New York, N.Y., Jeff Osborn of Prescott; and by several cousins in Prescott and Phoenix.

Norma graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson, in 1952. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and was active in school functions. After graduation, she worked as an advertising artist for Goldwaters Department Store until her marriage to Jack in April of 1964. She was active in her churches in Phoenix and at the Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona where she and Jack lived for 14 years before moving to Prescott in 2002.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 17th at First Congregational Church in Prescott, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Columbarium at the Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona. Pastor William Guise of the First Congregational Church of Prescott and Pastor George Ault of the Church of the Red Rocks of Sedona will conduct the services.

Should you wish, contributions to the Alzheime's Association would help others and be a loving memorial for sweet gentle Norma.
