Bruce Sterling Parker

Bruce Sterling Parker, age 48, was born Sept. 25, 1956, in Hollywood, Fla.

He graduated from Pusan American High School in Pusan, Korea, in 1974 and obtained his AS degree in Petroleum Technology through Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas, in 1979. Bruce was employed with Walt Disney World Resorts in the hospitality division for the past 18 years. Bruce passed away on Jan. 28, 2005, at his home in Montverde, Fla., where he lived with his loving wife of 19 years, Monta.

In addition to his wife, Monta, he is survived by his daughters, Sharisa (Ken) Ellsworth and Donna (Neill) Revard; his son, Jeremy (Allison) Parker; his mother, Bettie S. Parker; his brothers, Richard (Charlotte) Parker and Mark Parker; his sister, Cindy (Tom) Dilworth; and his grandchildren, Andrew Saenz, Ashley Revard, Austin and Jaxon Parker. Other family members and dear friends are too many to mention. He was preceded in death by his best friend, Jeffrey 'Little Guy' Stanford.

Bruce enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, and traveling. His sense of humor was like no other. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all.

Special thanks to all the friends, neighbors and co-workers who went above and beyond to support and lend a helping hand. A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be held on Feb. 26, at 4 p.m., in Montverde.

Arrangements are under the care of Michael A. Floyd Funeral Home in Clermont, Fla.
