The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 5, 1978, p. 10 Herbert Johnson The owner of Johnson’s dry goods store here and in Parker, Herbert E. Johnson, 84, died last week in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services were Monday in the First Presbyterian Church here, with burial in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Johnson formerly also had owned dry goods stores in Phoenix, Stanfield, Scottsdale and Safford. He was born in Braden, Tex., and had lived in Wickenburg for 32 years, and in Safford for the last 19 years before that. He had been a Shriner more than 50 years, and was a World War I veteran. Surviving beside his widow, Helen, are two daughters, Betty Christian of Wickenburg and Joy Butler of Scottsdale, and six grandchildren. See Also: Find A Grave |
