Edward R. Cahall, age 87, died at his son's house in Flagstaff, Ariz., on Feb. 5, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer.

He had lived in Prescott for a short time before his illness. Ed served as a medic in the Army Air Corps in WWII, from 1941-1945, and received the Bronze Star.

After the service he moved to Phoenix and worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 30 years, where he was active in the Union. Ed was a Boy Scout leader for many years and loved going to horse races.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Rose, in March 2004, and is survived by his sister, Bee (James) Collins of Phoenix and sister, Dorothy Fochtman of Florida; son, Edward L. of Flagstaff; and daughter, Anna Marie of Prescott.

Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 10th, at 12:30 p.m., at the National Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, in Phoenix.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the WAC Veteran's Association, Saguaro Chapter, 68, 9942 West Mohawk Lane, Peoria, Ariz., 85382-2530.
