Allen M. Creighton Jr., a descendent of Arizona Pioneers, 'rode home' Friday, Feb. 4, 2005. He was born May 31, 1923, graduated from North High School, and attended Phoenix College, before joining the Army Air Corp in 1942.

After the liberation of the Philippines, he stayed in the Pacific to start his own shipping company, Trans-Asiatic Airlines.

He attended the University of Arizona and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. His work took him to Motorola, RCA, and Resdell. In 1976, he opened Al Creighton Realty in downtown Phoenix, and retired in 1987. Flying, fishing, HAM radio, and family were his passions outside the office, with eight children, 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He always had a reason to host a celebration.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; sons, Skip Creighton (Michele), Jack Doughty (Tammy), and Kit Creighton (Susan); daughters, Betsy Coppinger (Larry), Robyn Mizes (Jim), Peggy Phillips, and Bobbi Fisher (Jeff).

Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 10th, at 11 a.m., at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, at 1500 West Maryland.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Arrangements entrusted to A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel.
