Martina Johanna (Riddering) Purcella

Martina Johanna Purcella, 82, passed away December 25, 2006, at her residence in Globe.

She was born August 2, 1924 to Ernest and Grace Riddering in Butler, Minn. and had lived in Arizona 62 years. She married Woodrow Pucella Feb. 3, 1945. She worked several years at JC Penny's and enjoyed reading crocheting, sewing and walking the hills of Globe with her sister Terry. Her greatest pleasure was the 49 years she spent singing in the Holy Angels Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Robert and Anthony; and her husband, Woodrow.

She is survived by her sons Wayne (Susan) Purcella of Globe and Michael (Tina) Purcella of Phoenix; her brothers, Theodore Riddering of Minn., John Riddering of Globe and Bernard Riddering of Florida; her sisters Rita Kennedy of Wisc., Johanna Dulski of Minn., Mary Nordick of Wisc. and Theresa (Butch) Martin of Globe; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services will be Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe. Lamont assisted the family with arrangements.
