| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 23, 2005 Florence (Lockwood) Achten, age 78, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, in Prescott Valley. Flo was born in Escondido, Calif., to Stan and Elsie Lockwood. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mark; son, Dennis Achten; daughter-in-law, Kathy Achten; brother, John Lockwood; and sister, Mary (Lockwood) Branin. Flo spent many happy years teaching her nieces, nephews and neighborhood children to swim in the family pool. All the kids called her 'Aunt Flo.' Soon she became 'Auntie Flo' to both children and adults alike. It was a great time in her life. We will all miss you. Bless you, 'Auntie Flo.' No services at her request.
