Otto Carl Hoehne

Otto C. Hoehne, 1908-2005, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He loved his family, hunting, fishing, a good card game, lapidary work, and people, especially good neighbors.

Otto was active in Pleasant View Grange in Colorado, serving as master for many years. He was a dairy farmer and also did custom farming and carpentry work.

Otto was raised in Nebraska where he married Evelyn. He did what it took to provide food, shelter, and clothing during the Depression and drought.

Otto and Evelyn found irrigation water in Colorado at the base of the Rockies, at Boulder, where they raised their family. Later they retired in Estes Park, Colo., Mesa, and later moved to Prescott.

Otto was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and granddaughters, Delaura and Alyssa Marchand.

Otto is survived by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn; brother, John; daughter, Dolores (Joseph) Tomlinson; son, Gene (Cindy) Hoehne; grandchildren, Don (Christine) Tomlinson, Erich Hoehne, Sarah (Thomas) Olezeski, Deborah Hoehne, Donovan Allen, William Marchand; and great-grandchildren, Nic, Jacob, Luke and Joshua Marchand.

Funeral Mass will be held today, Thursday, March 3, at 3:30 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Avenue, in Prescott. Burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey.

Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary.
