Milton O. (Pidge) Anderson

Milton O. 'Pidge' Anderson passed away Feb. 25, 2005, in Prescott. He was born May 28, 1919, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Hans O. and Esther (Pedersen) Anderson.

He proudly served as a Signalman during WWII in the U.S. Navy.

'Pidge' retired after 31 years, as a power line foreman for the Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power. He and Helen moved to Prescott in 1980. He was a very active member of the VFW, American Legion, Citizens Tax Committee and the Smoki People.

'Pidge' is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen; son, William of Tucson; daughter, Cheryl of Prescott; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou of Victorville, Calif., and Dorothy of Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; and nephew, Steven of Victorville. He was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth and Byron.

'Pidge' enjoyed watching football and was an avid fan of NASCAR.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Yavapai Humane Society in 'Pidge'?s' name, 1625 Sundog Ranch Road, Prescott, Ariz., 86301.

A Celebration of ?Pidge?s? Life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9th, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton.
