Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 20, 2008 Amy B. Crawley, 52, passed away at the Bob Stump Veterans Affair Medical Center on Thursday, May 29, 2008, after a short illness. She was born May 4, 1956, in Providence, R.I., to the late Jack and Marcia Capron Crawley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Doug of Dale City, Va. Amy is survived by her brother, Chuck of Prescott, Ariz. After Amy left the U.S. Marine Corps as a L/CPL and Radio Repair person she moved to Phoenix, Ariz. She attended DeVry School of Electronics for a couple of years, worked for Circle K and a small electronics shop in Glendale, Ariz. Upon leaving the Phoenix area she moved to Prescott and went to work at the newly restored Hassayampa Inn under Mrs. Dee Toci. She worked as a house person. When leaving there she went to work at Buddy’s Markets of Prescott. When Buddy’s went under, Tri-J Market was born by Mr. John Jones and family. She worked there under five different owners for over 12 years, then on to Walgreen’s at the Depo Shopping Center. She had her 10-year reunion in November 2007. She was the liquor manager since 2001 up until she got sick in mid-March. Although she was sick she attempted to work but she was just too ill. She will be and is sorely missed by all her loyal customers and fellow workers from all four Walgreen’s in the tri-city area. All the liquor sales people also miss her, or so I’ve been told. Services for Amy will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at the Prescott National Cemetery, off the Overland Trail, entrance off Gurley Street. She will be entombed with our mother. A thank you goes out to Hampton Funeral Home for helping with Amy’s wishes. Information provided by her brother. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
