Hubert Lowell (H.L. / Red) Plummer

H.L. “Red” Plummer, 85, of Dewey, Ariz., died July 12, 2008. Red was born Aug. 16, 1922, and raised on a farm near Mt. Comfort, Ind. He enlisted in the Air Force, January 1942 and served in the South Pacific until July 1945. Upon returning he married Patricia A. Wiatt on Aug. 5, 1945. Red remained in the service through 1952. He moved his family to Phoenix in 1964 and worked mostly for Fed Mart until he retired to Prescott Country Club in 1984.

Red is survived by Pat, his wife of 62 years; his son Rex; daughter Robin Berardi; two granddaughters, Tricia Duva and Michelle Berardi; and one great-grandson Jackson Duva, age 3. He is also survived by his brother Donald; and two sisters June Atherton and Dorothy Link.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. July 25, 2008, at Faith United Community Church, 1061 Old Chisholm Trail, Dewey, Ariz.

Graveside services in honor of Hubert Plummer will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday July 18, 2008 at Heritage Memorial Park, 12000 E. Memorial Lane, Dewey, Ariz.
