A memorial service for Elvin P. “Al” Cochran, Sr., 85, a long-time resident of Wickenburg, was in St. Alban’s Episcopal Church Tuesday this week. The Rev. Donald Chilton officiated. Mr. Cochran died last Saturday in Wickenburg Community Hospital. “Al” Cochran, as he was known to his friends, and his wife, Ruth, moved here in 1959 following six years of visits. The Cochrans came here from Seattle, Wash., where he was an automobile dealer for 40 years. He was born in McCook, Nebr., in 1892. Survivors are his widow, Ruth; a son, Elvin Perry Cochran, Houston, Tex.; a brother, L. M. Cochran, Santa Barbara, Calif.; a sister, Velma Cochran, Seattle, Wash.; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cochran predeceased her husband three years ago. |
