JOHN L. ALDOUS

John L. Aldous, 82, of Prescott, brother of Newell (Newt) Aldous of Wickenburg, died Aug. 26 in the Ft. Whipple Veterans Hospital in Prescott.

He was born in Downey, Ida., and moved to Prescott in 1920.

He operated his own rental property there for many years.

He was a disabled veteran of World War I, a veteran of the medical corps.

He was a life member of the Prescott Elks Lodge and the Earnest A. Love American Legion post and a member of the Smoki People.

Surviving besides his brother here are his widow, Catherine; three sisters, Mrs. Odetta Goodrich and Mrs. Millie Bertasso, both of Pocatello, and Mrs. Violet Garner of Rexburg, Ida.; another brother, Stan, of Pocatello, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were Wednesday last week in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, with graveside services conducted by the Elks Lodge, and members of the Yavapai Veterans Council forming the color guard.

The family suggests memorials to the Prescott YMCA or the Arizona Lung Assn.
