| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 9, 1978, p. 9 ELLEN L. DAVIS Funeral services for Ellen L. Davis were 10 o’clock Tuesday morning this week in Wickenburg Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis died last Sunday in the Wickenburg Community Hospital. Private cremation and interment at Phoenix Memorial Gardens followed. She was president of the Kellis-Draper American Legion Post here and a past president of both the Legion Post Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Mrs. Davis was born 65 years ago in New York. She was a homemaker who resided in Wickenburg for the past seven years. Survivors are her mother, Louise Tinney of Wickenburg; two sons, Charles W. Covell, Jr. and Douglas E. Covell, both of New York; a daughter, Louise Farinech of Tucson; three sisters, Marion Morawski of Wickenburg, Elma Tidwell of Black Canyon, Nellie Reynolds of New York, and ten grandchildren. Husband, Frances Awyn Davis predeceased her. Donations in her name to the cancer fun are recommended by her family. |
