John G. Hernandez

John G. Hernandez, 77, of Peoria, Az. passed away January 24, 2005. He was born in Mayer, Az. on Feb. 22, 1927 to Francisco and Maria Hernandez.

John is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elvira and Jenny, and brothers Candelario and Reynaldo.

He is a former resident of Bagdad, Az. John worked for Cypress Bagdad Mines for 31 years. He was a member of Baghdad School Board for 10 years and a member of Knights of Columbus. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army.

John lived life well. He embodied loyalty, commitment to family and self-sacrifice in the name of love. He imparted a faith in Christ through his own devotion to God. He lived a life of prayer.

He is loved and respected by his family. He made a difference and that difference still lives on in his familyman's greatest legacy.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; sons John (Jessica) and David (Lorri); daughters Theresa (Michael) Levine and Frances Hernandez; seven grandchildren; sisters Tina Acosta and Carol Medina; and brothers Pete, Robert, and Tony Hernandez.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, 2005 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, Az. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 28, 2005 at 9:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 8615 W. Peoria, Az.
