| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Published Wednesday, April 7, 2010. John Curtis Dumont Jr. passed away April 6, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 90. He was born to John and Medora (White) Dumont Nov. 11, 1919, in Providence, R.I. John moved to Lake Havasu City 23 years ago from Coventry, R.I., with his late wife of 56 years, Irene E Dumont. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War 11 on the U.S.S Buckley, D.E. 51. He worked for Mays Manufacturing in Warwick, R.I., for 42 years as a plant manager. He loved the mountains, the lake, and his beloved Havasu. John was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. John leaves behind his two sons; John C. Dumont III and his wife, Katherine, Bobby Dumont and his companion, Bettina Matakiewicz; daughters, Donna Lee Silva and her husband, Ron, and Bette McJunken and her husband, Alton. He also leaves his loving companion, Jean Hollenbach. He will also be dearly missed by his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. John will always be remembered for being a great father and a loving friend. A memorial service will be held on Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.
