Ida B. Goddard, 86 of Prescott passed away Thursday October 7, 2004.
Ida was born May 3, 1918 to Anthony & Madeline (Eorio) Carlomusto, in Fairport, N.Y.

She graduated from Fairport High School, Bookkeeping and Business Subjects. She graduated from Rochester Business Institute, Rochester, N.Y. as an Accountant and Secretary.

She passed the Real Estate Exam in New York State while working for Judge Raymond Lee as his secretary, for three years. She worked for the U.S. Air Force during WWII in Miami Fl., in charge of Military Strength, Veterans on R & R.

In Oct. of 1946 she moved to Phoenix, Az. for health reasons where she worked as a Bookkeeper and also went into Real Estate.

She met Earl Goddard Oct. of 1946 in Phoenix, Az. who was there working for the winter after being discharged from the U.S. Army. They were married on Feb. 1, 1947.

They returned to Denver, CO. (Earl's home) for one year.

After passing the Real Estate Exam in Colo. She went into the Real Estate Business as a Salesperson. They moved back to Phoenix in Nov. of 1947.

Ida was a Realtor with licenses in New York, Arizona and Colorado. She became a broker in Phoenix and was appointed as a Real Estate Broker for the VA & FHA in 1950 to sell their Repossessed Properties.

In 1959 Ida & Earl moved to Prescott. They had a cabin in Ponderosa Park for several years and were selling lots in Ponderosa Park on weekends, out of their Phoenix Office.

Earl had been a Plaster and General Contractor for several years before and after WW II. He was enlisted in the Army Corps of Engineers, landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day and remained through the Battle of Bulge earning five Battle Stars. He was honored by a French General during the reunion of the 50th year D-Day celebration in 1994.

Earl joined his wife in the Real Estate Business in the early 1950's and took over the Land Sales Department. He oversaw the subdividing and selling of many ranches in the Phoenix and Prescott areas in 40 Ac. and smaller Ac. parcels.

Although they both loved the Real Estate business, meeting people, making friends, and helping folks find the home or land of their dream. They semi-retired in 1975 and sold their office building. However, they kept in touch and sold properties for several years and also did other things they enjoyed like hunting, fishing and traveling the world over.

Ida belonged and was very active in the Prescott Business Women Club, Rod & Rifle Club, and Sacred Heart Claret Club. She taught Gun Safety Classes for many years. She also belonged to the VFA, America Legion and Gun Club with Earl.

Ida was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Earl Goddard, infant girl; Earlene Goddard, her parents, sister; Lucy Turchette, step-daughters; Shirley Osier and Irene Talcott. She is survived by two sisters, many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitations will be held Monday Oct. 11, 2004 from 5 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Heritage Memory Mortuary 131 Grove Ave. Prescott, Az.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Tuesday Oct. 12, 2004 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 150 Fleury Ave. Prescott, Ariz. with entombment to follow at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.
