Paul J. (Snuffy) Austin

Paul J. Austin, age 57, of Bagdad, died July 10, 2005, in Prescott, following a long illness. Paul was born Dec. 10, 1947, to Edward and Helen Austin in Butte, Mont.

Paul enjoyed motorcycles and antique cars. He was a mining electrician at the Berkley Pit in Butte for many years. Paul was employed as an electrician with Phelps Dodge in Bagdad for the past 16 years, where he worked until the time of his death.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and son, Matthew. He is survived by his longtime friend, Naomi of Bagdad; daughter, Monica Wasson of Gillette, Wyo.; son, Mike of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; son, Mark of Billings, Mont.; son, Joseph of Indiana; brother, Donald of San Jose, Calif., and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 14, at 11 a.m., at Peeples Valley Cemetery in Peeples Valley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in remembrance of Paul J. Austin.
