Darryl Able Rice, 42, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004.

Visitation has been held Tuesday, September 21, 2004, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Heritage Memory Mortuary Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 501 Campbell St, Prescott, Ariz.

Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary, Prescott, Ariz.

Darryl Able Rice

Darryl A. Rice, born Nov. 8, 1961 left us on Sept 18, 2004 to make his journey to the Spirit World. Darryl was 42 years old.

He is preceded in death by his father Melvin Ted Rice. He is survived by his mother, Mary Deibler of Prescott; five brothers, Ronnie Sandoval, Arnold Rice, Ted Rice, Robert Rice, and Rocky Deibler, all of Prescott; five sisters, Susan Rice, Angela Parish, Anna Rice, Roberta Dean and Sara Reyes, all of Prescott; 24 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Daryl is also survived by his significant other of 22 years, Eileen Labato of Montrose, Colo. Two step-daughters, Valerie Gallegos of Montrose, Colo., and Marlene Atwood of Salt Lake City, Utah; eight step-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter.

Darryl was born and raised in Prescott, but spent his adult life living, in both Prescott and Montrose, Colo. He was a roofer and a member of the Yavapai Prescott Tribe. He enjoyed being outdoors in the woods. He also enjoyed fishing hunting and joking around with the children in his life.

He was the light in the eyes of many of these children and will be missed by all.
